The connection to the phone was lost - Samsung Galaxy Note

I have now managed to sync my contacts but when trying to sync my calendar, I always get the message "The connection to the phone was lost! Ensure..." On the phone, it still shows connected. I have tried via WiFi and via USB and it always happens. Sometimes I get about 5% through the sync, once I got about 20% there but it has never got even close to finishing.

I am using Outlook 2010, the latest versions of MPE on the PC and the phone. The phone is on Android Gingerbread.

If you need the logfile, please let me know where I can send it to.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling now and still the calendar sync comes up with the error. I deleted all my calendar entries on the phone and after the sync bombs, there is nothing on the phone at all, even after the MPE message says "Adding appointment xyz to phone".

Please help

Looking a bit further, I see that MPE is trying to copy appointments to the phone that are not in the range of my date selection in the settings. I have set it to synchronise only future appointments but it is trying to set appointments back to 2010 to the phone.

I really want to be able to use this app as Samsung's Kies is pretty awful.

Ruled events which start in past and end in future will always fall into the timerange.

According to your logfile it looks like a timeout issue . The calendar-provider of your hone does work very slow, the creation before the errormessage needed also 20 seconds. Are there any apps installed on the phone which could hang directly on the calendar provider ? SmoothCalendar is a typical app which can raise this problem

This phone uses Samsung's S Planner for the calendar - I have no choice to change it. I have not installed any other calendar apps. Even on the phone I find that S Planner is very slow. Is it possible to change the timeout somewhere in MPE?

Thank you very much, the beta works fine for me - no more timeouts and bi-directional sync of all. It even fixed the other problem I was having with contacts sync.
