I believe that this app will do all I want, but the lack of a manual, explaining to me what is happening, why, what the settings mean, what MPE on the PC is doing etc is making me concerned that I will set something up that wipes out all my valuable stuff.

Is there a manual somewhere? Your FAQs do not give me the information I need.

Agreed but given that this is a free app under constant development from the author perhaps a better solution would for those if us who USE MPE to create a manual as part of a Wiki?

I am not sure that it being a free app justifies limited documentation - it may explain it, however. I would be willing to buy the app if that meant I would get a good manual.

Failing that, a Wiki-based solution would be a good start. Anyone who understands how the system works willing to make a start?

Me too. I would be happy to pay if it meant getting a manual. Please? Or a wiki.

I don't agree. But on the other hand I understand if some people need a user guide. Application Notes will be equally good, telling you how to solve certain tasks/issues.

A Wiki is a really good idea, driven by the users!!
You will get what you request and the resources from FJ won't be spent on a User Guide, he should focus on the software development.
But he can review the Wiki of course so it not all wrong.
A Wiki is power to the users :P

I don't think that the users would build up a good and structured Wiki. The most users just need help, they do not provide help. There are maybe 10 users at all which do frequently answer also problems of other users.

And i have simply no time for creating a documentation.
