Update MPE on computer without losing data

Hello,

It's easy to update MPE on the phone (simply download www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk from the phone itself), all data is still their, nothing lost (tasks, etc...).

But how do you update MPE on PC without losing all data ?

I just download the latest beta and install it. Not had any settings lost so far.

In your case it works because you install the beta, it is just some files replacing the originals from the full release (you can't install just the beta, you need to install the full one first).

If you uninstall MPE, in order to install a new full version, I'm not sure your contacts/tasks/calendar will still be there.

Full version : MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_1.8.2.exe
Beta files to add to the full one : MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe

Ah, OK. I also use MPE to sync with Outlook so I really don't care too much what data MPE stores itself, as long as the correct data is still held in Outlook.

In case of a new version just launch the setup without uninstalling. In this case the setup will make a update without loosing data
