I was perfectly synchronising between my phone and software before I started to get this error message saying: "OBEX Errorcode: 00 - Phone did not answer, Timeout". The client on my phone shows active communication between MyPhone Explorer by rotating when attempting to sync.

I have approx over 2k contacts saved in my google account. I have transferred all my contacts to my google account so currently I don't have any contacts on my phone anymore. I'll give it a try to reconnect and if i get same error code then i'll be back here.

Depending on the used phone 2k contacts are maybe too much. You can install the current beta which is able to prevent the timeout:
www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk but the sync will be still very slow. If you want to sync only your local non-Google contacts the sync will be very fast. You can select the synced ccounts in the settings of the client on the phone

The contacts are no longer on my phone as I've moved them to my Google account. I have client version: 1.0.14. Is this the same version as the link you have given to me?

Isn't 'unofficial' products unstable?

MPE is sync my phonebook but with SD Card unmounted. Its adding new phone entries but i can't see the entries with 'Contacts to view' set on Phone contacts view only. Does the SD card have to be mounted to sync phonebook?
I have setup client to add new contacts to my google account instead of my phone. Is that why i can't see new phone entries by MPE in phone contacts view?

Your problem has nothing to do with the SD-Card. Please post the logfile after you added one new contact throught MPE and synced
