My sync works perfectly for all purposes except one: Contacts

I have an HTC Hero and Thunderbird.

They work well for files,messages, organizer and calls but timeout when trying to do anything with contacts results in an error:

OBEX Errorcode: 00 - Phone didn't answer, Timeout

Any suggestions are welcome.

I am using WiFi. The USB connection, connects but is inconsistant and still won't sync the contacts.

This essentially means the software is unusable as the contact sync is the main feature I need.

I searched for but found no logfile.
I did find what look like log files for other menu items that did sync.

They were found here (I obscured numbers with #):
C:\Users\Tony\AppData\Roaming\MyPhoneExplorer\HTC HERO200 [A###########F9]

I found the following files there but none for Contacts or Phone:

Sorry for delay, as i saw in your logfile you are still using the official version 1.0.14 and not the beta version i did suggest.

- check if Settings-Applications-Unknown sources is ENABLED
- enter this URL in the browser of the phone: www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk
- choose to install
- try again

No, still the official version. The installed version is also showed if you click twice on the MyPhoneExplorer Client in the phone. Current beta is something like 1.0.15 beta17

If you are not able o do it directly with the phone then download to PC, check if the extension is still .apk and then install the app with MyPhoneExplorer in Sidebar-Files-Applications
