Short question: I just want to find out if MPE will work on Windows Vista?

Yes - basicly it works, if you have problems just ask

Ok, i have Vista Ultimate (Build 6000) wich means final version and the MPE "works"

What not works is the port detection.. i see on my devices and have :

OBEX Interface on COM4
Device Management on COM7

I must write COM7 directly on Port configuration of MPE to make it work.. the COMBO appears blank. Ok, it works now..

The only thing that not works is when i try to send files from Pc to Phone, it just shows an error

Error sending: whatever.mp3
OBEX Errorcode: 00- Phone didn`t answer.

If i change the port to COM4 then it just not connect

I have a Z520a

I know about the issue that the ports arent listed. I will check it if i have Vista on my machine.

To your problem - you have set the wrong Port. Look in the windows devicemanager under "Modems" there you'll find the right one.

Yes, i ws wrong.. i see before under Ports (COM and LPT) instead Modems. I write COM5 and works fine now
