Which property does MPE read on SMS messages for the timestamp?
I've noticed that messages are in a different order in the phone to MPE and I got a decent example this week.
I received a message at 01:05 this morning. After synchronising, MPE says I got it at 17:44 yesterday. The truth is, it was sent at 17:44, but I only received it at 01:05.
Would it be possible to alter MPE to perform the same as the phone, or does the SMS header only hold the timestamp of when the message was sent? |

MPE decodes the timestamp from the service-center to display the date. The real received date is not readable (same like on sent messages) |

Do you know how I can see the timestamp of the service center on my Android phone? At the moment only the time I received the SMS is displayed.

I don't think the service center timestamp gets stored on android in general. But why is this important for you ? Its the same time than recieved |

It is not the same if my phone was off, in airplane mode or out of network range when the sms was sent. Then the time shown is the time I switch the phone on again which is not of interest for me.
I would like to know the point of time the sms was SENT (e.g. yesterday 23:55 or today 05:55), which used to be displayed on all my other cell phones before and as far as I know on the Iphone as well. |

No, I don't think Android does keep this info. I agree, it would be nice. Previous SEMC handsets have shown the send and receipt time, but Android doesn't seem to.
Maybe there's an app for that?

Theoretically it would be possible to get this information through a app (cause its possible to receive the PDU-Source when the sms arrives, before Android does decode and delete the PDU-Source) |
