Its a generic eror from the phone. Restart your phone and try again.

I restarted the phone but keep on receiving the same error message.

Are the messages sent - even with the error message ? Is it possible to send messages with any other third party apps ?

The message is not sent at all and I have no tried another app as I am very satisfied with MyPhoneExplorer. I will try another app and provide feedback.

Null error when sending multiple messages

First off, I love the app. It's a life saver.
But, I have 2 issues with the latest update: (MPE 1.8.2, Client 1.0.14)
1. I get the null error referenced above, but only when i'm sending a really long text message that spans into 2 sms messages. This action (long messages) worked fine in the previous version
2. When i'm on a call using my earbuds, I cannot use the "Send Tones" feature from MPE. The numbers are greyed out.
I have a Samsung Galaxy SCH-I500. Running on Firmware 2.3.5 and Kernel 2.6.35.7 , Build number SCH-I500.EI20 (Cspire)
Verfasst: Mi 27. Jun 2012, 20:22
von FJ
1. Update the client through Market (1.0.18) and try it again
2. Sending tones is technically not possible in Android cause security restrictions
Thanks

Thanks for the reply but...
1. I updated the Android client to 1.0.18 (if a smiley shows up, its one point zero point eighteen) and still get the CMS ERROR: null - Unknown Error when trying to send a 2-part SMS text. Is there a debug error log that I can look at and attach for your viewing pleasure ?

Is your phone GSM-Phone or a CDMA-Phone ?

Mobile Network Type = CDMA -EvDo rev A.
My provider is CSpire (formerly Cellular South)

Since i have no CDMA-Phone its hard to reproduce the problem. Please install the app "aLogcat", reproduce the problem, open aLogcat and send me the log via email with a link to this thread

Thanks. Email(s) have been sent. Hopefully I did the log files correctly.
1.8.4 is a great enhancement.. but

1.8.4 has so many great new features and fixes, but I still cannot send multiple SMS messages w/o getting the NULL error mentioned in previous posts. The alternative is to send separate messages , just frustrating... having to copy and paste. Thanks for the great work though.

Please check if there is a firmware upgrade available for your phone. Maybe its a bug in your firmware. Can you send long messages with other third-party-apps ?

I just updated to the latest firmware offered by CSpire (SCH-1500.FE29) , and still the same issue. Oh well. I guess I'll just keep my texts short. Thanks for trying.
