I was using MPE v1.7.3 for about longer period without problem.
When I started it today, i got some error about invalid licence.

In order to try to fix it, I uninstalled it and installed MPE v1.8.1.
Now, every time I start it, it crashes right after splash screen.

Deleting MyPhoneExplorer in AppData didn't helped.
Operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.

Here are the contents of debug.txt:

Do you get any error message behind the splash screen ?

After splash ends, window opens for one second and closes instantly.
No error message, or anything similar, just crash to desktop.

I would really like to make this software work on my computer as I used it before and found it to be great.
But if don't manage to do that, I'll indeed move to another software.

Please ensure that you have Admin-Access when installing MyPhoneExplorer.

To detect a installation-problem please tell me which errormessage you get when you run this tool: www.fjsoft.at/files/TestApp.zip

Hi, I think I have a similar problem, it's not a "connection-problem" with my phone, but when I click on MPE (i've got the 1.8 version, which worked properly until today!) I can only see the splash screen and then NOTHING. The program doesn't start and doesn't show any error message.
Do I have to upgrade the version to 1.8.1? before doing that I just want to know if there's another solution, because I'm afraid to lose the data I saved in MPE... :(
If it can help, I have Windows 7, and last week updated to Service Pack 1 .. maybe some compatibility problems??
Thank you for your attention..

I'm sure I have administrator rights when running the installation as I'm the only user on my computer, and my UAC if off.
Your TestApp runs without problem and without any error message.

And you tried already to delete the userdata-folder ?

@Gast: rename the Userdatafolder from "MyPhoneExplorer" to "MyPhoneExplorer_backup" and then try again. The folder is located in %appdata%

Ye I managed to run your TestApp fine, no problem, but the MPE program is still doing what everyone else says here, same as before, even with old and new versions..
I really want this to work on mine too! it'll help me get rid of my old phones massively if i can save all the stuff i have in there onto the PC!

Thanks!

same here
Installation on Windows 7 64 bit successful, it shows splash screen, and the sync icon appeared on system tray. The interface showed up for 1 sec, then disappeared. The sync icon disappeared too

No error message

Tried using Administrative mode for installation and starting, same result.
Tried using compatibility mode to XP SP3, same result.

uninstalled

please post debug log:
How to create a Debug-Log?

This can be found in the MyPhoneExplorer in "File->Settings" click on "Show Log file"
or (if the MyPhoneExplorer crashed (note: reopen MPE deletes old Debug.log)):
Windows -> Start -> Run (or on Vista/Win 7 just type into the field):
%appdata%
Go to the folder "MyPhoneExplorer", open the file Debug.txt and post the content into your thread!
(It might be a good idea to modify your IMEI with the String "IMEI" or something you prefer Wink before you post the log ).

I think its caused from DBCS-Mode. If the PC is working in this mode then some internal important routines will make problems - i tried to fix this issue already but it was not possible.

You could disable DBCS by setting the system-charset to english instead of chinese but i'm afraid this will cause problems with other programs

What about my problem (thread starter)? Should I wait for possible solution, or search for another software?

Sorry, the problem was not fixed for you...
When I started it today, i got some error about invalid licence.
Do you have a screenshot or at least the exact text of this message ?

As I said, I don't have license problem anymore.
I had it with MPE 1.7.5, but I uninstalled it and installed MPE 1.8.1.
Now application crashes every time after splash screen.
