Wifi works on Vista but not 7

Can't get phone to connect on the (64bit) Win 7 laptop but works fine on Vista SP2 32bit wifi.

Phone is HTC hero with 2.1 update 1

Is there a problem with 64bit/win 7 and Wifi?
