Runtime errors after installation

Hi,

I tried to install MPE 1.8 on a PC running Windows XP SP3 with no success. Or rather, MPE was installed, but when I try to open it I receive runtime errors 440 and 372 and get no further. Could somebody help pls?

Found the solution to my problem in an earlier thread.

I have maybe the solution:
- Start-Run-regedit-OK
- go to the subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Licenses
- rightclick this key and select "Permissions"
- choose "Add" and type "Administrators" in the inputfield, click at "Check name" and then on OK
- select "Administrators" from the list and set the checkbox for "Full Access" to them
- click on OK

Try to install MyPhoneExplorer

Note: I have no english XP so it could be that the buttons are called similar. I translated the instructions from this Thread. (very thanks to hati39)

The problem with the registry should not appear in v1.8, are you sure this helped ?

It surely helped. MPE works like a charm since then.

Hi,

Something is a bit funny. I use a program called MXContact and yesterday I had to reinstall it and since then MPE doesn´t work. This time the fix in the old thread unfortunately does not work. Same runtime errors appear, 440 and 372. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi, I was a bit quick to post my last reply. I hadn´t reinstalled MPE, just tried the fix. When I did the fix and then reinstalled MPE everything worked as it should again. Sorry to have troubled you all!
