Problem synchronizing after contact synchronization
Verfasst: Di 24. Okt 2006, 14:12

When I synchronize my contacts it takes very long at the end finishing it, als my phone keeps saying synchronizing although MPE has already finished.
If I then try to synchronize my contacts again or my organizer/files it says
Obex protocol could not be initialized
OBEX error: NO CARRIER.
If I take the batterie out of my phone for 2 minutes and then try again, everything is fine, can synchronize my organizer etc. but when I synchronize my contacts the same thing happens again.
I guess this is some sort of bug, but i don't know if it's MPE that doesn't finish the synchronization correctly or my phone.
My phone is a W810i.
Is there any solution to this? I hate to install the SE software but I do want outlook synchronization!

I've exactly the same problem with my W850i. Everything goes fine
except for second sync, then same problem as described above.

@Knarf: there is something going badly wrong. After some operations the phone doesn't answer any command.
• Connect your phone to the cable
• Then start MyPhoneExplorer
• Aktivate the Option "Stable connection"
• Initiate the connection to the phone and try it again.
• Then post the logfile again
Sync

IMHO it looks like MPE can read from the phone but not write, since
everything else is ok except for sync. i.e I can backup but not sync.
My phone W850i. It's really a good program, hope you can fix the snags.

ok
did it again, same problem again, but now it didn't name it's error. it just said 'obex error:' and that was it.
the logfile is here
http://www.student.tue.nl/H/f.jehoel/debug2.txt
Just to be clear: when I sync my organizer everything works fine. i can sync my organizer as often as i want, the problems only occur after i sync my contacts, then syncing either contacts or organizer doesn't work anymore

Which solution you use to connect to phone ? Did you ever try to use the original USB-cable ?

In my case LTK I'm using the original USB cable.

I forgot to say that: i'm using the IR port. I can try it with the cable tomorrow evening, because i don't have it here.
after i had the connection problems and i move my phone away from my computer and then try to connect my phone again to my computer, it also doesn't recognize the IrDA modem

I think IrDa is mostly a littlebit buggy - try to set down the baudrate. The next step would be to switch the options directly on the IrDa-driver in the device-manager. I'm not sure but i think it depends on the IrDa-driver or settings.
@LTK: Your Problem have nothing to do with Knarfs, i think you simply have set the wrong COM-Port. So once again (i don't know why you can't follow these instructions)
• Connect your phone to the cable
• Then start MyPhoneExplorer
• Initiate the connection to the phone and try it again.
• Then post the logfile again
Sync

What's wrong with that file????? Please tell, I'm just a normal person that
tries to get your program up and running.

Very sorry - i didn't saw the link, but there are some informations missing. First connect your phone to the cable and then start MyPhoneExplorer, so i can see the correct COM-Listing

Could download the logfile inbetween.
Try COM15, if it doesn't work then set the OBEX Packetsize for a test down to 256 Bytes, also try "stable connection" and as last option the old MyPhoneExplorer version 1.4.5
