Hi!
I am not sure where the problem is but the symptoms are:
- MFE cannot find my phone UNLESS I start the software, switch OFF and then ON win7 bluetooth and THEN have MPE find the phone again
- even if I do that, the connection will survive ONE attempt to synchronize, on the second attempt I get the error message -Phone could not be found so I reset win7 bluetooth and again...
- the bluetooth connection is active since my phone icon says that I am connected

Any ideas?

All your problems are caused by the Bluetooth-Stack. MyPhoneExplorer just opens and communicates throught a virtual COM-Port which is in your case hosted by your Bluetooth-Stack
