Outlook-MPE Notes Sync Issue

I want to sync my Outlook Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes with my new Samsung Galaxy S and so, after some research, decided to try out MyPhoneExplorer (MPE) which works well only for my Outlook Contacts and Calendar (over WiFi). However, I am unable to sync my Tasks from Outlook in MPE (over WiFi), even though there seems to be a provision for Tasks in the Sync dialog box, but it is inactive and greyed out (cannot tick the box). Is this a problem between MPE and this particular model of Android phone, or is the Tasks sync facility not actually active/working in MPE for any model of Android 2.1 phone?
If I am able to bring over my Tasks also to my phone, that would make MPE the ideal software for Outlook (PC) to Android sync without having to deal with Google and the cloud! BTW, I tried using Samsung's Kies sync software with its Outlook add-in, but it only works for Contacts...while the Calendar gets messed up; and there is no Tasks support at all...hence, am looking for 3rd party sync. Any inputs to help me would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance

Cause the missing native task- and notesdatabases i did disable the sync of this data. Maybe there will be a solution for this in future
Outlook-MPE Notes Sync Issue

OK, thanks for your response, FJ! However, am not sure I fully understand. Are you saying that the required native databases for Tasks and Notes are missing in Android 2.1 OS, which is why Outlook cannot sync these fields? My previous phone (Nokia E-5) was able to comfortably sync to all databases in Outlook...Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and even Email. So is this a particular problem with the Android 2.1 OS? Or can you suggest some other separate software for the Android 2.1 which can help me to sync atleast the Tasks/Notes, into a separate app, via MyPhoneExplorer? By the way, in the new Android 2.2 update, expected soon for the Galaxy S, would there be support for sync of Tasks and Notes to its native databases (in which case this problem gets resolved)? I look forward to your valued advice.

Correct. There exists some third-party apps which can handle notes and tasks but MyPhoneExplorer does not sync with them
The best solution would be a own notes/tasks app which is included in the Client-Software on phone. But since i have currently no time for big developments this will be not available the next time.
not understanding

My X10 Mini has a native notes application, so I don't understand this... why do you say there is no native app???

Cause there is no application to save notes which would be preinstalled on every Android-Phone

Sync Suggestion

Why not contact a few of the Task Manager programs that look promising to you and ask them if they want to be synced by your program and then give you code you can plug into your sync client to update their databases?
...or even better: if you could allow plug-ins on both ends, you could maybe develop a sync framework that other programs can use to sync their data from their programs on both ends - all in one interface: MPE
I know I would love it to have just one program running on the PC and one on the phone to sync everything all the time, not just one program at a time.

In this case i would be bounded to another company, no its more secure to build my own solution (where i can control myself what will happen in future)
Very impressed

I just wanted to send kudos to the developer; this is absolutely the BEST software I've found to sync Outlook to my phone...which is not listed in the compatible phones, btw -- the HTC Sensation 4G. I LOVE the integration and all I'm able to handle through the desktop software while connected.
It'd be nice if I could use my bluetooth headset or PC speakers and microphone for handsfree calling ... I've noticed my bluetooth headset will only connect to audio while connected to the software.
The only real problem I'm having so far is there are conflicts being found *every* time I sync Outlook Calendar and Contacts...even when performing one sync directly after another. Don't get me wrong...I'm not getting duplicate contacts/events or incorrect information...it's showing that the information never existed in one place or the other...and when I sync back-to-back, the conflicts reverse themselves (sources vs. targets). I'm going to try wiping-out contacts in Outlook and having MPE sync again and add them all back and see if that fixes the issue?
Thanks for all you've done so far! When you get the tasks and notes working, I'll be happy to donate for your hard work

Two-way sync by time-stamp of edit?

Just wondering - is there a way for you to auto-handle the conflicts by sync'ing via latest time-stamp of edit? The issue I explained above still comes up with ~215 contacts that have to be sync'd from phone to outlook...then a different set of ~215 contacts that have to be sync'd from outlook to phone when I do a back-to-back sync. [Still wondering why it's coming up with conflicts at all when no changes have been made]. A 3rd sync shows the exact same contacts need to be pushed from the phone to Outlook as the 1st sync.
I know I can set the software to force-sync from phone to outlook or vice-versa, but I'd like to be able to make changes on either phone OR outlook and have sync pull latest changes made so I don't have to phish through over 200 contact "changes" (that may not need changing anyways) just to find the 1 or 2 that I've actually changed.
Is this simply a problem with compatibility of my HTC Sensation? Or are others experiencing this issue as well?

Many Sync-Solutions does work only with changed datasets based on Last-Changed-Timestamp. MyPhoneExplorer does compare always all items. The problem you describe is basicly a bug in myPhoneExplorer which needs to be fixed.
- run MyPhoneExplorer in Debugmode (Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK)
- do the sync, select in the confirmationswindow a item which should be already equal to the phone
- click on Compare
- a window opens, send a screenshot of this window to me via email or post it here

Is it possible to screen notes or task in android phone (xperia mini pro) on a main screen? Like in symbian phones, or sonyericsson phones without operating system. Thanx

Yes, its allready possible. Just add the widgets "MPE Tasks" and "MPE Notes" on your home screen
