error message on PC "connection to phone not establishe

no device attached to usb". Yet PC and Phone connects with eachother thru usb via pc companion 2 no probs. I have office outlook 2010 bit 32. I have windows 7 professional. My phone is experia sony erricson x10. It synched fine 2 days ago. now it wont. What can I do? I have tried it by closing outlook, no difference. Thank you.

In your phone:
Settings/application/Development/USB Debugging
Inställningar/Program/Utveckling/USB-felsökning
there it activate that mode and the program access phone and card memory.
