Problem with SMSarchive.dat file

This is my first post on this forum so hi for everyone,

I have been using MPE for ages and always have the most recent version (now: 1.8.0) but I have a problem since this week:

When I run MPE (with PC and Phone bluetooth switched on and connection configured well, SonyEricsson K550i) I have a window "Connecting..." with a message "Initiating connection...", and a message "Reading user data..." in a status bar of the application. (translation of these messages may not be exact - I am using Polish version). Firstly I thought that everything just hung up but sometimes after a 10-15min MPE starts to work, sometimes - not (or I am not waiting enough).

After a few minutes of investigation, I realized that SMSarchive.dat file is a problem (what is strange because a day before it wasn't). MPE hangs while reading this file. Once when MPE fortunately started I managed to export SMS Archive to almost every format (CSV, HTML, XML, TXT and SMS). Then I tried to delete SMSarchive.dat file, start MPE again and import data from one of these files - but MPE hangs while importing or just a second after that.

My SMS Archive have >17 000 records, and weights about 6MB. Every SMS is as a plain text (I mean without any national characters etc.)

Please see the debug.txt (this one is after starting MPE with my original SMS Archive):

Disable the encryption-feature for your data and then try it again

I did it as you said but it didn't resolve the problem...

It is working exactly in the same way as I described before.

Would you send me the Archive-file zipped via email ? Maybe there is a corrupt message in the file which raises the problem. If i have the file then i could test the behavior on my PC
