Major problems since Android upgrade

I don't know if this is related but since I installed the Android app upgrade I've had all sorts of problems syncing contacts with my Work PC.

It started with MPE hanging on the receiving new entry message.
The application then hangs and task managert is the only way to stop it.

I now keep getting continual "Connection is not possible errors" whilst syncing.

What I've done...

Uninstalled MPE
Deleted all contacts from Outlook 2007
Reinstalled MPE
Set up a new contact sync - Phone > Outlook only
Run Sync - now end up with duplicates on Outlook.
These have been removed with ODIR plugin to remove duplicates
Disconnect phone
Change settings in MPE - sync both ways
Sync now starts and I can see enties being delteted on phone but error keeps popping up: "Connection to phone not possible!" Even though phone IS connected and slowly deleted contacts.

Basically I am losing confidence in MPE :-(

An update on this...
Once the "Connection is not possible error" starts it re-appears after every contact deletion.
If I go to MPE and select "connect" then the deletions continue slowly (11 seconds per contact!) for considerably longer without the Connection not possible error coming up.

I've finally managed to get a contact sync completed but my guess is that there is a problem with the new Android App version 1.0.6 that caused these "Connection to Phone not possible" errors.

As i wrote in the other Thread. Select in the settings of the client to avoid the phone moving in Standby-mode

Standby mode on active connection
is already set to
Avoid Standby Mode

Anything else?

And you are sure it has to do with the new client ? Its strange cause no other user reported this type of problem with the new client.

How do you connect ? Via WiFi or throught USB-Cable ?

I've managed to get things settled down by pressing Connect everytime I got the error message.
I connect by USB.
There defintely seems to be a problem in the way that MPE handles errors whilst in mid-sync in that cancelling a sync or a sync error causes the whole application to hang.
The only way to deal with it is to CTRL ALT DELETE and task manager.
Once a sync has completed is all become stable again.

Please install this client (its v1.0.5) and tell me if the problem is still there: www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient_1.0.5.apk

The lockup errors seem to be the Windows application.
The client in the link is downloading as mpeclient_1.0.5.zip????
Do I just rename the .zip to .apk?

It should be downloaded as .apk. I just tried and it worked for me! (using firefox)

Which zip programm do you use? Maybe it is just linked to your zip programm and the file is an apk file!

I got it to work by renaming the .zip to .apk.
Howevere as 1.0.6 is currently stable for me at the moment, I'll leave that version running. Thanks for your help.
