I have installed MPE 1.8.0 on windows 7 x64, MPE client 1.0.4 from the market on the phone, the ADB drivers for the phone, set the phone into debugging mode, and the client on the phone is crashing.

I start up MPE, when it gets to "Identification..." I get the error message
"Connection to the phone could not be established:
Phone could not be identified"

On the phone I get the error message
"The application MyPhoneExplorer Client (process com.fjsoft.myphoneexplorer.client) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."


And, upon trying again, and again, it comes up with the same issue.
I have tried uninstalling the application, and reinstalling it, all to no avail.

Any and all help is welcome on this issue. Trying to backup all my text messages and all other data I can before I try wipe it and mess around with the phone a bit.

Would you mind post the debug log, this may help to fix the issue!

Which Android-Version do you have on the phone ?

I believe the phone is still using Android OS 1.5. They are just starting to roll out a beta version of 2.1 for T-Mobile, but everyone else is getting screwed out of the update.

All in all, nothing stands out in the debug log, other than it does connect to the device, but fails.

The current client crashes on Android 1.5, but the beta should work. Browse inside the phone to this URL: www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk and tell me if its working

OK, do you use the USB-Cable for connection ? We need to etablish a connection via USB so i can take a look at the error-trace.

I found a silly bug, please install and try the beta again (same link). If you still get a crash then we have to trace the error via USB, in this case you'll get a explanation how to do this

Yes it runs on phone will test with pc later thank you

The beta definitely works for me.
