It seems that MPE when it is retrieving the data from outlook doesn't recognise events that are an exception to a recurring event, instead they are presented in the way that is the same as the other events in the recurring schedule.
I know this is an added level of complexity, but just picking it up and noting it. Is this functionality which is expected or noted for future development?
