Hello,
I can't connect my G1 (HTC Dream) via WiFi. In the logfile it stands "Got no Model, close port". I went through some posts with the same error, so I already have the debug update installed. Unlike the others it didn't help. PC and phone are connected to the same router (PC via a cable). Full logfile you can find here:

Did you enable "USB Debugging" in the Phone and Select "Phone with Google Android-OS" in File-> Settings in the Client?

"Phone with Google Android-OS" was marked in the settings but USB but debugging was not enabled. Does it matter when connecting over WiFi?. Now the logfile looks as below, regardless if debugging is on or off. Error message says "Connection to the phone could not be established: Failed to obtain the IP-address of the phone".

USB Debugging is not needed for WiFi-Connection.

In your first log i saw that the phone is reachable, but the connection did not really work.

In your second log the phone cannot even be found.
Did you follow all tipps behind the "Help" button on the errormessage ?
