In the next version you can see akku and net-state in the tooltip of the Tray-Symbol. You also can write new messages and start calls in the current version if you right-click the tray-symbol. There is no need for a window like this.

Heh, that's quite possible now that you mention it. ^_^
It was a fun idea though.
