I clicked on "download entire" in the organizer section, and it said it was SYNCING instead. I quit the program since I've had a bitch of a time dealing with duplicates and was in no mood to do so again, so whejn I started it up the organizer section was cleared, but I don't know if this is how it is supposed to work or if I did it by quitting.

In any case, does Download Entire ONLY download the calendar info, or does it actually synchronize like it says?

It seems you are using a old version of the client, please upgrade via market.

"Download entire" does exactly what it says. The whole content is downloaded from phone and will be overwritten in MyPhoneExplorer. This feature does not sync with external apps like Outlook

Nope, the most current version of the client.

It says at the bottom "starting sync", so it could just be that I'm being too literal, but still.. I didn't want to sync and it says it is, although it may be lying... figured I'd mention it.

Now i understand.
Download entire does only load the fresh content (the whole content) from phone. The text "Initialize sync..." is choosen from the real sync.

And to be exact: Download entire is technically also a sync -> a one way sync
