When trying to sync my Android Incredible I get an error message "Obex Protocol could not be initialized"

USB Debugging is set.

Oddly, MPE does sync text messages but nothing else.

Any suggestions?

Please post the logfile after the error

I have similar problem,
I have a x10 mini pro and I am trying to sync with a xp sp3.
the problem does not get fixed after restarting the phone!!!

You are connecting to your Dell Modem and not to your phone. Select "Android phone" in settings. There appears also a help-link. Click on this
