As sony ericsson has changed to windows mobile in XPERIA 1, is it possible for MyPhoneexplorer to connect with windowmobile phones using Activesync or mobile device center.

Currently there are no plans to support WM-Devices. i have to look in which direction SE will go. If there comes more WM-Models than i#ll take a look at it.

the ONE and ONLY problem I've ever found thats not more my fault than the applications is that when it syncs sent messages it doesn't pick up the timestamp?

the only way to get it to pick up the timestamp is if its sent through MyPhoneExplorer

A minor problem in the grand scheme of things, but thought i'd mention it, it would be a interesting new feature

Its not a fault of the application - its a fault of all phones from SE. Please read the FAQ

Hi, I am from Turkey

First i want to thank you for this useful freeware.

in Turkey, operators has launched a service that would let customers send SMS messages in Turkish characters without paying extra. But when i write sms in this software, it splits sms for turkish characters: ıöüşğ etc... can you make it compatible with turkish operators? because now its possible to send sms with Turkish character set in normal charge, or ifits not possible to do, please make automatically change the Turkish characters to unicode chars like ı to i, ü to u, ğ to g etc...

And also, when i read a sms from inbox, everyone usually clicks to sms, but when i open it via double click, why there is no reply button? i have to close the sms window and right click sms select reply for replying.

The chat is so useful for me i am everytime using it but in 1.7 version, when i open the chat window, it was automatically select the writing area and i didnt need to click to writing sms area in chat window. but now in 1.7.1 i need to open chat window, and then witeable area must be clicked too.

I don't understand whats the problem. Normally MyPhoneExplorer does this switch to UCS2 automatically (and this has nothing to do with turkish operators - its a global standard)

The char problem is, if i write a turkish char, the character count decrase 160 to 69, for one char, it counts 91 char long. and then i have only can use 69 chars for rest of the message. if i write a message from my phone, it counts one char for every chars.



Cursor problem is, (only in1.7.1 version, not before) i select writable area, and then send a message with enter, when send complete, i need to click writable area again for write the message.

Its not a bug - its a feature. If you want to send a turkish char then MPE converts the message into Unicode. Unicode SMS = 70 chars per message. Normal SMS = 160 chars per message.

Focus: Now i can reproduce it - i will fix it

Hey, first of all thanks for your great app ! I use it on daily basis

Though, I have two questions : when I add a birthday event on my phone, the reminder is a nice message : "Today is a special for XXX, celebrating his birthday" with the option for calling the person or text him.
But adding the birthday event through MPE just adds a regular reminder, and no option... Do you know if there's any way to work around this ?

And second of all, the gmail contacts sync is a great feature ! And It would be just awesome if there was a way to get the gmail pic of a contact as well ?

If you could update the Thunderbird/Lightning extension to make it compatible with Thunderbird 3, it would be perfect.

Lightning should work; I'm not aware of any incompatible changes.
I will fix the address book code soon; it will be ready when thunderbird 3 is released.

@Mike: MyPhoneExplorer for Mac is not possible. It would need to write the whole application from beginning new

@piechdibi: I know the behavior of Birthday-Events in the phone, but its not possible to read/write so that the phone would detect it as real birthday. The contactpictures in the phone cannot be accessed with the used protocol.

@ScratMan: As long TB3 is in alpha-stadium it makes no sense to change my addon for it.

just a note to say thanks for the new phone text typing and clipboard transfer in the phone keypad. great!

TB3 Beta 1 is available, but the MPE extension is rejected because it doesn't provide secured updates.

One more thing when chatting there is no status report option, or didnt i find? it can be usefull.

It would be very nice, if MPE could connect and exchange information with Windows Live services (contacts and calendar) as it does with Gmail.
