MPE is definitely a very good program.
Compared to MobilEdit and MobileMaster is more stable, less cumbersome and has got a nicer interface.

Nonetheless, two issues should definitely be addressed are:

1- When exporting SMS', replace "Save as .CSV" with "Save as .XLS". Basically, exporting all messages that have at least a comma in the text will be split on multiple cells by Excel and this will make the saved file totally useless.

2- In Contacts\SIM, there may be a bug causing automatic re-assignement of Order of SIM entries, even when trying to de-assign them.

It would be awsome if in the archive view for text messages if there could be an auto sort option that arranged the text messages in order they were sent/recieved. So that you can know how you replied to a message you received.

You can already sort the messages by timestamp. But please note thats not possible to read out the timestamp of sent messages (as described in the FAQ)

I have a Request, but I'm affraid you'll say no to this:

I'd like to know if it's possible to Sync All MPE with a Sync-ML Web Client, like www.mobical.com

I know it's possible to Sync the phone over-the-air with www.mobical.com; but there is no way to sync my changes on MPE to the phone over the air with mobical (I mean, instead using the Cable/Bluetooth/infrared) it's synchronizing over the web/OTA

If MPE can Sync with a SyncML Client (like mobical) I'd be possible to sync the phone over the web!!!

Before I found your software, I had to spend 3 to 4 hours per week manually writing out all my messages and phone calls! What a job!

I need to record everything for my business. I am using v.1.6.4.

Some thoughts...

(1) Is it possible to have just one SMS list with all Inbox and Sent Messages listed together? The same way that is already being done with Phone>All.

(2) I understand that the Sent Messages cannot have date/time stamp for now. But is it possible to list them in order of either sending or creation? I seem to have a jumbled-up list for Sent Messages, that is, recent and old messages are mixed up at random.

(3) I also seem to have developed a problem where I do not get the latest updated list of Archive (computer). The Multi-Sync and Refresh View appear to work fine and I can see the downloading of the messages, but the list still remains the same as a previous update. It used to work fine, listing all the messages. I may have changed a configuration somewhere but now do not know where or what it is. Please help.

1) i dont like this solution cause there is no stable ordering possible cause request (2) is also not possible.

3) Do you mean "Autoarchive messages if deleted on phone" ? If yes - i know this and i do not search in archive cause the archive-search takes much performance. No problem when there are 1000 messages in the archive but there are people with 20.000 and more messages in the archive and in this case the search could take some time on every sync.

Cause PS.: I know that i could be a rich person if i would take a license-fee for MyPhoneExplorer, but i think software should be for everyone. As long as i can pay the costs for it with the donations i will keep it free.

Hi!

I use MyPhoneExplorer a lot, so I try to use it more productively by using only the keyboard. This I could definitely do when I send an SMS, because MyPhoneExplorer allows a hotkey to bring up the "New Message" window.

However, this is not the case when I am accessing the main window, when I do tasks like accessing the Inbox or Sent Items and adding new contacts to the Phonebook. I could access Inbox, for example, by hitting Alt-V-M-I, but sometimes the window's frame does not activate the messages window, so I have to use the mouse to click on messages, instead of using the arrow keys and the Enter key to move around the messages. As the frame has not been activated, I cannot use Tab to get to it.

Since I prefer using MyPhoneExplorer purely by the keyboard, is there a way of including new hotkeys for the Main Window, or just fix the window focusing? I leave the solution to you based on what you find easier to program, but the end result is that one could use MyPhoneExplorer without ever touching the mouse.

Here are some steps to follow just so we're looking at the same problem, and at the same screen:

1. Start MyPhoneExplorer
2. Hit Alt-V-M-I to open the Inbox

Well, what happened in my case was I could not access the messages without using the mouse to activate that frame. And even if I do a..

3. Hit Alt-V-M-A to switch to Archive

I still couldn't get the cursor to focus on the messages without using the mouse.

To clarify, what I'm suggesting is to be able to access the messages without doing the requisite mouse click.

...When deleting items in the archive, the focus is reset to the top of the archive. This makes it more difficult to manually delete items (sorted by Message) as we have to scroll back and find where we were....

Additionally, when using the Filter, if any item is deleted, window goes back to the entire Archive and does not stay in the filtered selection.
