Thanks, Dave, but that doesn't solve my problem. If I add an event to MFE on my phone the ONLY calendar that the phone MFE widget recognizes is my Google calendar (which is not able to be synched with MFE desktop). The calendar drop-down list on MFE phone widget only shows my Google calendar --- not my phone calendar. However, MFE on my phone will display events from both calendars --- just can't add to Phone Calendar from the phone. I can add events to my Phone Calendar via MFE desktop and then sync to MFE phone widget but not the other way.

Fixed: Reinstalled both client and server MFE as well as Motorola software. Syncs both calendars now both ways.
Client: mark local but MPE syncs in google calendar anyway

This is the issue I have!! I mark only the local calendar on the client and the entries are made in the google calendar any way!!

If the item was created in the google-calendar instead of the local calendar then it should be missing after you push the second button in the toolbar (Download entire). Is this the case ?
Please post the logfile after a sync where you add a new appointment with MPE on the phone.

I have exactly the same on my Nexus 4...
luckylucke... or anyone else, have you found any solution to the issue?

Got it working 
I've installed
http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe and now outlook is being synced to the right calendar I choose in MPE client on my phone.
