Hi FJ,

I have tried all combinations of access rights, but I'm still getting the error :(

Anything else I can try please?

Post the logfile after the errormessage and tell me if you are using the 32bit or the 64bit Edition of Outlook

The error I got was after I upgraded to 64-bit Office 2013. I uninstalled and reinstalled MPE and it's OK again - I guess it didn't like the API changing?

Please note that you'll need the current beta for compatibility with Outlook 2013

I had the same issue (folder structure from outlook cannot be listed).

Outlook 2010
Windows 7, 32 bits
Motorola defy+, Android 2.3.7., Cyanogenmod 7.2

Tried all suggestions. No success.
What I discovered and eventually solved the problem:
I had to have the same calendar structure in Google Calendar and Outlook.
I had 2 calendars in Google (Work, Personal) and only one in Outlook 2010 (calendar).
The phone is synchronising with Google account and by default reads the google calendar structure. Then, it tries to sunchronise with Outlook which in my case had a different structure. The error occurs.

Just sharing my experience, hope it will be useful to somebody.

And, by the way, myphoneexplorer is the best sync program out there !

I am having the same problem. "folder structure from outlook could not be listed" error while setting sync with>advanced, and inability to sync
I installed it on a new Win 10 notebook using MS Office Professional 2016, it worked for two days, then after installing Quicken and MS FrontPage this morning it no longer works. I uninstalled FP, I tried uninstalling and re-installing the MPE, but to no avail.
I do not seem to have the option to open Outlook as administrator or otherwise. Likewise, I have opened MPE as administrator but no luck.

Problem solved

I have been using MPE for some time on my new Windows 10 machine and when I installed a legacy program, FrontPage 2000 (I had no choice), MPE would stop working and I would get the following error message:
• The phone would connect without issue but would not sync.
I received the following Error messages
o Multi-sync
 Sync phonebook “Connection to Outlook failed!”
 Sync organizer “Connection to Outlook failed!”
 Sync notes “Connection to Outlook failed!”
o MPE Settings>Sync>Contacts
 Sync with “Outlook 2016” >Advanced “Folder structure from Outlook could not be listed!”
 Events and tasks ditto
 Notes ditto
Clearly the introduction of the old Windows program was changing some of the settings on the new version of Outlook 2016 and it would not work even after uninstalling FP 2000. I uninstalled Office 2016, re-installed it and presumably, re-set the corrupted settings back to their original state and MPE would connect and sync as before

Same problem too. It tries to acess the structure in outlook 2016. It starts OL2016 if not running and then hangs. I have to forceable stop Outlook.

Discovered the solution. You need to start Outlook 2016 and MPE will the same access rights. In my case I started then both with ADMINISTRATOR rights. First Outlook then MPE.

Everything works fine :D

Folder structure from Outlook could not be listed!

I had the same problem where the error 'Folder structure from Outlook could not be listed!' after I've changed my laptop from Win7 to Win10 with a different laptop and Outlook has been updated to 64bit as well. FJ and others were right about the access right issue. I think the outlook was installed by the IT admin using main Admin account, I have the local admin account but doesn't work as I think it's not the same level. I resolved it by using Apps -> MS outlook 2016 -> Repair as reported by other users. It works now and I can sync my outlook data. Thanks to the community for sharing the experience!! MPE rocks!
