Das glaube ich Dir, aber sobald er auch nur eine zusätzliche DLL oder ähnliches nutzt, wirds u.U. schwierig... Ich weiß nicht was Mono zu DLLs sagt, aber wahrscheinlich nicht viel positives...

Also, soweit ich im Internet bis jetzt rausgefunden habe, sollte mono mit dlls überhaupt keine Probleme haben!

Mit .NET-DLLs vielleicht nicht. Aber was ist denn wenn es sich dabei z.B. um eine Treiber-DLL handelt?

Ein Treiber ist bei der Verbindung mit dem MPE nur für das USB-Kabel notwendig. Bleiben noch drei Varianten für die Verbindung (Bluetooth, IrDA, Seriell) die keinen Treiber benötigen! Und laut der Anleitung vom User Winer wird unter Linux auch für USB keiner benötigt!

Und wenn du jetzt zum Beispiel den Zugriff auf die (virtuelle) serielle Schnittstelle meinst, kann ich dir sagen, dass der neue Namespace in .Net (den ich früher in diesem Thread schon mal erwähnt habe - ich glaub es war System.IO.Port oder so ähnlich), der für den Seriellen Traffic zuständig ist, auch unter Linux funkioniert und die richtigen Schnittstellen (/dev/ttyS*) listet. Unter Mono.
Der Test war zwar in C#.Net geschrieben, aber ich glaube, dass dies nichts zur Sache tutt

Wie auch immer, wir werden schon sehen ob es dann läuft, wenn es soweit ist.

Was .NET kann ist mir schon klar und die Sprache ist auch egal, da nach dem Build eh alles in einen ensprechenden Bytecode umgesetzt wird. Nur keiner von uns weiß was FJ sonst noch so alles im MPE "verwurstet" hat... ;)

Aber lassen wir uns einfach überraschen. Er macht das schon und hat mein vollstes Vertrauen! :)

Tja, ich sag mal besser abgespeckt als gar nix!

Wenn sich irgendwas tut, wärs schon, aber wenn nicht, machts aus meiner Sicht auch nicht so viel! Es ist und bleibt trotzdem ein geniales Tool!
Obwohl ich die SMS-Benachrichtigung ein bisschen vermisse...
Aber ich kann damit leben! Vorerst...

MPE schmiert ab

Tja, ich bin zufrieden, mit dem was MPE unter Linux/wine bis jetzt kann!

Nur: seit ich in den Einstellungen die Schriftart gewechselt habe, schmiert der MPE kurz nach dem Aufstarten ab. So habe ich leider nicht mehr die Möglichkeit, die Schriftart wieder zu ändern...

Hi!

Irgendwas von den Common-Controls scheint ihm zu fehlen - nur was? Und ob das der Grund für Deinen Fehler ist weiß ich leider auch nicht.
Vielleicht kann Dir FJ aber verraten wo Du den Font wieder umstellen kannst...

Im Datenbankordner (Unter Windows in C:\....\Anwendungsdaten\MyPhoneExplorer) ist die Datei general.ini zu finden. Diese öffnest du in einem Editor und löscht die Zeile die mit "Font=" beginnt.

Im Wine müsste die dann unter C:\Windows\Profiles\<profilname>\....... zu finden sein.

Hi zusammen

Dank euch für die rasche Hilfe. Habs unterdessen, spät Nachts, wohl der Verzweiflung nahe, auch so geschafft: beim Aufstarten wie ein bekloppter auf die F2 taste eingehauen, so kam ich in die Einstellungen des MPE, ohne dass er abschmierte.

Das Problem war übrigens nicht die Font: die klappt jetzt ohne Probleme.

Das Problem war, dass ich gleichzeitig zum Fontwechsel die Option 'Check for new Version' im 'Startup' Menu gewählt habe. Dieses Modul ist wohl noch nicht auf wine/Linux agbestimmt.

Noch ne Frage: klappt unter wine/Linux der Abgleich mit Thunderbird? hab dazu noch keine Threads gesehen... Bei mir funzt trotz installiertem Plugin noch nichts... Hab ich Aussicht auf Erfolg, wenn ich's wieter versuche?

Noch ne Frage: klappt unter wine/Linux der Abgleich mit Thunderbird? hab dazu noch keine Threads gesehen... Bei mir funzt trotz installiertem Plugin noch nichts... Hab ich Aussicht auf Erfolg, wenn ich's wieter versuche?
Nein, das klappt nicht automatisch da man vom Wine ja nicht ohne weiteres auf ein unter Linux installiertes Thunderbird zugreifen kann.
Du kannst jedoch die Kontakte als LDIF exportieren und diese Datei dann im TB (oder auch im Evolution, dort muß die datei allerdinx nach LDI umbenannt werden) als Adressbuch importieren. Funzt 1a! :)

Das Plugin benutzt einige Windows-Funktionen, um z.B. aus der Registry zu lesen. Wenn es eine offizielle .NET-Version von MPE gibt, passe ich natürlich auch das Plugin daran an, vorher macht das keinen großen Sinn.

Hallo,
wisst ihr, warum das synchronisieren mit Google Calendar unter wine nicht geht bzw. was man da beachten muss.
Ich bekomme im Einstellungsdialog für Google Calendar nach dem Eingeben von Benutzername und Passwort die Fehlermeldung "Die Ordnerstruktur von Google konnte nicht geladen werden! 411 Lenght Required". Die Kalender werden auch nicht angezeigt.
Vielen Dank für alle Tipps.

Super wäre in dem Zusammenhang natürlich wenn du während der Entwicklung ab und zu selber mit Linux testen könntest.
Vielleicht ein kleines Sidux in einer VirtualBox oder auf einer anderen Partition?
Falls du Visual Studio 2008 benutzt solltest du für größtmögliche Linuxkompatibilität einstellen, dass das 2.0 Framework benutzt wird.
