I have an HTC EVO Shift 4G using MPE 1.8.4 and client version 1.0.23. My MPE file sync folder is on a physical SD card.
When I sync, the timestamps are immediately different for many files, causing MPE to resynch my files every time. I have performed force Computer to Phone many times (and also tried Phone to Computer), but always with same results.
Oddly, not all file timestamps are identically wrong:
Some files are off by many days, but set to time of a previous sync
Timestamps for some files on phone are set the time of the last synch
Some timestamps on phone are two syncs previous.
The files on the PC are not being touched by anything and their modified timestamps are confirmed unchanged.
I tried changing the MPE preference for time server to Local PC and forced PC to Phone sync but nothing changed.
I deleted the entire sync folder on the phone and forced PC to Phone sync and all files were set with the time of the sync.
I set the phone to connect as a drive and manually copied the folder through Windows Explorer and all phone files have identical timestamps to PC. However, if I then perform a sync, MPE wants to resync all the files even though MPE shows identical size and last edited timestamp in the Confirmation for Synch dialog.
I'm really at a loss over how to fix this. |

MyPhoneExplorer does cache the timestamp informations internally. There must be a change of the timestamp on the phone or on the PC. Every app can cause this issue but i don't think its a issue of MyPhoneExplorer. |

When I put the phone in Disk Drive mode and copy the files manually through Windows, the timestamps match and stay matched. It's only syncing through MyPhoneExplorer where MPE says there's a mismatch. |

Turns out it actually was MyPhoneExplorer. When you said MPE caches the timestamp information internally, it occurred to me that might be the actual problem.
I decided to try completely removing the existing file sync job, exiting MCE, then re-adding the job. When I did that, only the one file I intentionally changed for the test was synched. So, I assume that by removing the file-sync job, MCE cleared it's internal cache which had somehow become incorrect/corrupted. |
