Hi!

I'm hunting an easy way to synchronize a public network calendar on icalx.com to my W800i. I thought that there _must_ be an easier way to do it than installing Outlook and the RemoteCalendar plugin and then sync using the SE-tool. I have no use for Outlook since I do mail using the much better Thunderbird. Then I came across MPE and I must say that it looks really good and suit my needs perfectly!

I started it up and configured the remote calendar, which happens to be a schedule for the university course I'm attending and is pretty large, and started up the sync. Everything seemed fine but when I later checked the actual times, it seemed that the starting time for the meetings was correct, but in many cases the end time was incorrect and the 'warn time' before the meeting (can't remember the word, not default english speaking - I'm swedish) was missing or incorrect. Since the calendar is working using the RemoteCalendar and Outlook I would guess there's something going on with MPE(?)

Here is an example from the sync log (copy and paste so it probably looks bad). The 'before' entry is correct and the 'after is the wrong one.

Here is another example where the 'warn time' is missing:

I took a look on the calendarfile
The problem with the end-time i can fix, there is a tag in it which was parsed the wrong way. I don't understand where is the problem with the alarmtime. Where is the alarmtime missing ? In the networkfile or in the phone ? The most important question: With which software you write the ics-file (besides MyPhoneExplorer) ?

Great to hear that it seems to be an easy fix with the end-times!

You are right that the alarmtime is parsed OK by MyPhoneExplorer. I got confused by the previous sync that I did when syncing with Outlook using RemoteCalendars plugin. Outlook apparently added alarmtimes at 15 minutes before every meeting. These alarmtimes were not present in the ics-file.
To conclude: alarmtimes are not missing. Sorry about the confusion.

I don't create the ics-file myself but I believe it's created by iCal on Mac OS X. I'm not very familiar with the ics file format but I guess the line
Code:
PRODID:-//Apple Computer\, Inc//iCal 2.0//EN

from the ics file identifies the version to iCal v2.0.

Thanks for the quick resonse!
/Martin

Should be fixed - here is the patch to try. Don't forget to download the newest version of MPE if the official update is avaiable - this patch writes some more logmessages.
