Connection cud not be established- Xperia PRO MK16i

Hi,

I hv recenlty bought this SE Xperia Pro (MK16i) & installed MPE 1.8.2 latest version, ADB Drivers (Installed thru SDK google) & have been doin all kinda troubleshootin for the past 3 days but all in vain.

"Connection to phone could not be established" is d error msg i get. May be i m nt installin ADB drivers properly.

M Using Win XP SP3 & Tryin to connect thru USB Cable.

Any help in this matter wud BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED !!! M so FRUSTRATED, IRRIRATED & DISAPPOINTED !!!

Hi,

- did you enable USB-Debugging mode under "Menu > Settings > Applications > Development" inside your phone?
- do you have the latest MPE-Client from market and is it started when you try to connect (should start automatic on USB connections)?

I hv already enabled USB-Debugging mode & installed latest MPE in my PC version 1.8.2
But still it doesn't connect

Hi,

when device is plugged in, do you see an entry "Android USB Devices" in your Windows device manager?
Is your USB cable plugged in direct on the PC or over an USB-hub?

Please post also the logfile after the error message was shown and ensure that the firewall does not block MyPhoneExplorer (this can happen also with USB-Connection, seldom but possible)
