HTC Desire - interaction with Touchdown

Hi

I've just discovered this utility and I'm very impressed with it. However, I'm also using Touchdown for OTA synchronisation of email, phonebook and diary. If I enable the phone book synchronisation in MPE are these going to interfere with each other (create duplicates for instance)? I don't recognise the Touchdown database as one of the ones MPE can directly synch with.

Oh - and I too get the problem of no confirmation of SMS's over the 160 character boundary and it would be good to know if a fix for that is likely

What is Touchdown ?

It's an Exchange synchronisation application made by Nitrodesk. You can see it herehttp://www.nitrodesk.com/default.aspx.

The native Exchange sync app on the Desire stops synchronising after about 10 days and the only solution is to delete the link and start again. Very irritating.

Touchdown uses ActiveSync but has its own database(s). It updates the native phone database. As it is updating the phone database via an OTA connection to my exchange server, and MPE is doing the same thing via USP, there is a risk that these things will conflict (and generate a load of duplicates for instance). The solution would be to point MPE at the Touchdown database - but it doesn't know about it.

From my experience over the past few days, there is not a lot of conflict so, once they get properly synchronised (and dups in all 3 systems are removed) they seem to work together quite smoothly.
