Sometimes i used a copy/paste and there is no special sign such as — „ “ etc. in the text.
I have to use google translate to "kill" the invisible UNICODE. So im wondering why the program sometimes does that?
A message with UNICODE signs in it can only be 70 characters long. So im either forced to send the double amount of SMS or use google translate to get rid of the UNICODE stuff from the copy/paste.
In Sony Ericssons PC suite there is also the UNICODE feature. But if there is no special signs in the text it counts as a normal text message.
Oh and btw sometimes the in MPE there could be a special sign for ex. ( „ ) in the text but it doesnt convert it to a UNICODE message, while Sonys PC suite would had made it UNICODE message straight away.
So its kinda a mystery to me how this works. And also a little annoying.
UNICODE
Okay thanks for clearify that.
But that still dosnt explain why it sometimes convert to unicode while i cant spot any sign og special signs.
Look at this screenshot.

It says it has unicode in the line. But if I take the text and put it in google translate to the same language. And paste it in. It suddenly have no trace of UNICODE in the line. Even there is no visible deference to the line.
Here is a screenshot. Same words. But no UNICODE.

can you explain that?
You can also see I have alot less characters left before second sms starts becouse of the unicode/USC2.

Could it be possible to for MPE to also convert ’ into ' in next update? That would realy be a big help for me
I found out it change the text to unicode. But your right — „ “ are converted.
And there most be some kind of hidden unicode in the text i copy, but google translate removes it. Im not sure how unicode works. Its very complicated when i try read about it on wikipedia.
