Computer changes COM port every minute!

I have a w880 connected to Win7 (x64) via USB. But every once in a short while it disconnects and reconnects again using a new COM port. This, of course, makes MPE constantly lose it's connection to the phone.

Anyone know anything I can do to lock the phone to a specific COM port?

Hmm - difficult problem. The drivers were never made for Win7 - and especially not for Win7 x64. Uninstall the drivers and try to install them in compatibility-mode for WinXP.

If you find no solution you could connect the phone also throught Bluetooth

I'm using USB drivers from DaVinci Team (http://www1.davinciteam.com/downloads.html) as they're the only USB drivers that I know of. I've also let M$ do it's thing with the automatic search for drivers but it seems to be the same problem.

Not sure how I install drivers in XP compability mode as there is no install EXE in the driver package?
