Hi all, I've noticed a change in the speed of the file transfer in these cases:
1) Using file transfer mode -> faster
2) Using MPE and phone closed
3) Using MPE and phone open -> slower
I think it may be a consequence of the phone being occupied with other functions (like drawing the screen on the last case).
I wanted to ask if anyone has noticed this before, and if not, well now they know how to transfer files faster. |

There´s a difference in speed, regarding the connection.
USB cable and WiFi are faster than Blutooth.
Check out what suits you best. |

On a new smartphone RN7 I have difficulty to get USB working.
With WLAN I get transfer rates of 5-6 MB/s.
Hardware is USB-C 2.0 (OTG) with loading cable connected to either USB 2 or USB 3 on the PC.
Is it even possible to reach 20-30 MB/s over USB (like for external Drives connected trough USB2) or at least substantially better then 5-6 MB/s?
I know for RN7 I need to find this out myself but would be interesting to hear some USB datarates from other MPE users with certain modern Smartphones. |

After applying a trick in Device Manager I was able to intall the USB MTP Driver.
I tried the transfer of a 1.7 GB file and the speed was 16-20 MB/s, so better then WLAN on the RN7 device. |

Can you share that trick?
I've noticed that file transfers via Wifi to my phone using MPE
(around 5 mb/s) are *much* faster than those when transferring files between two devices using the phone as a wifi access point (max 1.2 mb/s). Can sb (FJ) explain why it is so? Would it be possible to increase the speeds when using mobile as an access point? |
