Screen stays on while connected through Wifi

this is after the new update of android, when i connect my phone through the wifi, the screen stays on.

so all the time as long as the phone is connected through wifii, the screen stays on and my battery dies after few hours as well as my wearable.

if i turn off the launch client automatically ont he wifi SSID, then the screen turns off. it doesn't have to do with the developer options, remain awake, or display time out screen.

it's only in myphone excplorer and i have note 5.

Are you sure the setting "Standby while connected" (I translated this from German, so the text could be sligthly different in English) is set to enabled on your mobile client?
