OK. I've got a call blocker app on my phone which seems to work and I'd like to add a block filter on a 'range of numbers'. For example, all calls from '0843 724 xxxx' I want to block (genuine telemarketeer numbers from the UK. If you're in the UK feel free to block the same range unless you want to talk to someone about reclaiming PPI insurance ... Laughing ). Now the app has a 'filter' function which allows me to do this BUT that means I haven't got a 'contact' to sync with this number range. I currently have a 'block' contact category in Outlook which gets transferred to the phone and I can block this 'contacts group'. But each entry is seperate for each phone number.

The trouble with trying a range of numbers with a single contact is that OL allows you to define and save a phone number with any sort of wild card character you like but the transfer via MPE only allows a few through (they are from a quick test - '()*;#-' . Can anyone see a way to specify a 'wild card' phone number in OL that would get transferred to the phone?

Thanks

Oh, and my reasons are purely for my own 'ease of use' as I realise that using Titanium Backup on the app would probably save the 'blacklist' but it's much easier for me to do a 'backup' via OL which I use as my master list.
