yes USB cable (my screen is broken, hence i need to backup my contacts:))

COM 5 with/without stable mode - same thing; protocol could not be ...

oh and i did read the faq, but i can connect fine (e.g. I can extract the messages) , just not the phone book (the thing i need!)

OK turned off the phone, pulled out the battery for an hour. put the battery (accu) back in and plugged it in. No luck.

It still gets the error - like unable to initialize OBEX and/or unknown comma ...

it does show up the phone on the com4 etc - it just wont 'connect' with it

also - sometimes it says OBEX protocol cant be initialized.

though i can still access the messages, % mem used, etc
