Ok, that would be appreciated as Handcent is very widely used. I wouldn't mind a setting to disable Handcent while MPE is connected via USB as I would be using my computer to text at that time. I've used another app called Texdro that does notify me on the computer of new messages even with Handcent ...

Yes I do use Handcent. That would be a real hard choice if I had to choose between using your program and Handcent... :(
