DROID 2 Global Client drains battery
Yes, I just checked my phone, and you are right. The client we currently run is 1.0.10 and the PC component is 1.8.1. Sorry for confusing the issue. I should have said: We were running the beta client that came before version 1.0.10 and the PC component that we installed in January (I think it was 1 ...

DROID 2 Global Client drains battery!
I'm not sure you understand. On some of our phones, we were running a beta client that came out BEFORE 1.8.1, and then we upgraded to 1.8.1. These phones are the ones that periodically drained their batteries. We reset those phones to factory, then installed 1.8.1, and the problem is gone (we think ...

DROID 2 Global Client drains battery!
Hi,
You are correct -- sort of...
This problem occurs on phones upgraded from the beta. 100% of the time, if we do a factory reset on the upgraded phones and reinstall 1.8.1, the problem goes away. It does not happen to phones that never used the beta client. One theory (from the Verizon / Droid ...

DROID 2 Global Client drains battery!
I love MPE's functionality (and donated), but... Over 4 months, Droid2 Global has been completely discharging once every couple weeks at night (GMT-7). Happened on 2 phones. Only thing in common: MPE Client, used to sync with Outlook (contacts/calendar) on demand. MPE was not running when this ...

Thank you, Scootercat.
I remember telling VZW that I had to decline their backup offering (but they may have ignored me), and I don't think I ever turned it on.
Are you knowledgeable re: MPE, too? MPE apparently stored all my contacts on the "phone" in the process of FJ's test (as evidenced by the ...

Help w/ client beta! No Contacts on Phone!
Yikes! (How did you know?) I added a new contact to my phone, but it did not show up in MPE until I enabled the "Backup Assistant (phone)" account...
Unfortunately, that resulted in TWO of every contact in MPE (except the one I added, of which there was only one). So, I DISabled "Backup Assistant ...

Help w/ client beta! No Contacts on Phone!
I am completely confused... When I check 'Backup Assistant (phone)', things seem to work. What does that mean? What does Backup Assistant have to do with syncing Outlook contacts and Phone contacts?

'Phone' is checked, 'Backup Assistant (phone)' not checked, 'Google' not checked, 'Motorola Service Accounts' not checked. (I am prohibited from allowing my full contact list to leave my domain.)

Help w/ client beta! No Contacts on Phone!
I updated to the beta client to fix the bug where all-day events come back with the wrong date. Now, when I sync Outlook contacts, I get this:

I upgraded from 1.08 to 1.08, just to mollify you... and it worked. Thanks. Now I have the problem with All-Day outlook 2010 entries appearing on the previous day in the phone after Sync... When will that be out of beta?
Anyway, it works. Will donate. :-)
