To tell the truth, I don't use any other third party apps for that, because they messed up my contacts. MPE is the only one that is working properly.

MyPhoneExplorer saves the images on phone as JPG and not as PNG. Does it work if you set your photos on the phone itself (also the transfer to MPE) ?

Really strange. You can export a contact picture if you doubleclick a contact in MPE. There is a button to save the image

MyPhoneExplorer creates 96x96 jpeg images. Please save a image from a contact (where MPE did set the contact), upload it to the memorystick and try to view the picture on your phone with the gallery. Does this work ?

OK, and if you set the photo not in Outlook. If you set it in myPhoneExplorer -> is it working ?

No. It seems something gets to the phone... but it is not the photo that I set.

The reason how I know that something 'seemingly' gets to the phone is that I can remove the icon after the sync ...

When you set the photo in MyPhoneExplorer (and not in Outlook) - is then the brithday still deleted ?

I've just did a thorough test on how it is working and where the issue occurs.

I noticed that birthday disappears when I modify anything of a contact (on the phone) and then save it ...

1) The contactpicture if not compared on sync and it gets only transfered to phone when there is no picture set in the phone.

2) Which Client-Version you are using ? Please try this behavior without syncing Outlook, just using MPE.

Birthday syncing is ok for me as well. It is only stange, when I add a contact picture, MPE deleted the birthday of the contact.

Also I have issues with contact pictures. How is it working for you? I'm using MPE + Outlook (no Google cloud).

I'm using Thunderbird and MPE obviously doesn't sync ...

Then i think we will wait to 2.1 which does support birthdays native.
FYI: Birthday syncing works A/OK now with 2.1 on the LG GT540. Many thanks.

When I set it in Oulook, it does not get to the phone.

If this is the only change on this contact, mpe doesn't recognize the change. You have to change at least one other field or use right click -- force as edited.
