Well the issue was that the program crashed, I restarted it, then figured I'd check the logs to see what happened, and it seems like (at least on my system) the debug.txt gets overwritten every time the program starts. So I had no way to see what actually happened and where the duplicate entries ...

Nope, the most current version of the client.

It says at the bottom "starting sync", so it could just be that I'm being too literal, but still.. I didn't want to sync and it says it is, although it may be lying... figured I'd mention it.

I clicked on "download entire" in the organizer section, and it said it was SYNCING instead. I quit the program since I've had a bitch of a time dealing with duplicates and was in no mood to do so again, so whejn I started it up the organizer section was cleared, but I don't know if this is how it ...

I just recently had a problem and ended up force closing the program to save my butt. I was going to send the log file in but I discovered it seems like it clears at the beginning of every start and starts a new log file?

Perhaps the next version can give us more log file options, like create this ...

Just had the same problem, BIG TIME ....

It MIGHT be because my wifi is a little iffy and sometimes will turn off and then back on after a moment, so would it make sense that if this happened during a calendar sync, it would either restart or otherwise not know what to do, resulting in duplicate ...

Well I happened to switch to using the USB cable to connect, and lo and behold, now I ses both sides in the chat window....Will do further testing but hmmm...

However, I have a rooted Nexus One and although I'm a good guy and don't pirate apps/software, I do make backups of my entire phone and/or separate backups of whatever apps I have installed at any given time in case of a crash.

However, I can't set MPE to automatically backup ...
