Sometimes I get a delivery report saying that the message was delivered fine, but then the recipient writes back telling me that some parts are missing.

What does the delivery report mean in this case?

That the first, last, a random one, or all of the PDU's were delivered successfully?

Do you honestly believe that a modem user (there aren't many left!) actully cares about downloading the a little larger file if he receives a program that actually works?

That is a very odd trade off.
I believe the problem lies elsewhere and the file size is just a cover for the real reason, like ...

I don't mind have to download a larger file (does anybody still use a modem??), nor do I mind having a larger programme installed as harddisk space are plenty and memory likewise.

But I do mind programs that perform less good :-)

We've discussed earlier how to make a better format for storing SMS so that it won't be so slow when many SMS are in the archive.
You changed the format to a new one which is somewhat better but still not optimal.

I believe the solution i to use SQLite!

Concatenated SMS is two or more SMS that are sent as one.

Is it possible to start MPE with a debugging parameter that will dump valuable info in the log file?

I notice that the problem persists is .18

Is there any debugging info I can provide?

I have noticed that it is often when sending concatenated SMS it happens.

My pattern is that I connect the phone through a USB cable, automatic connect is on.

I send some SMS through MPE, I might prune all the Sent items right away, or I might disconnect the phone (leaving MPE running) and then later reconnect it.

I can't really determine a pattern in when it happens ...

I have read that and that is not what my topic is about.

After upgrading to the newest version, I get lots og No indication in the Sent items even though they are sent through MPE.

I use XP SP2 and the problem was also present in version 1.4.5 but not nearly as often as now.

Is there anything I can do or am I the only one experiencing this?

Very nice that the annoying alert box that really stole focus is now gone when sending an SMS.

It would be nice if the baloon tip had a timeout. It really doesn't make much sense that you *have* to click it for it to disappear. Then most of the nuisance from the alert box is still there ...

Is there some public TO DO list user's who submit feedback can browse through to avoid submitting things you already are aware of?

I have a pretty large Archive with 1700 SMS in it.
This makes MPE start considerably slower, makes moving items to the Archive last much longer and has now made MPE use 60% of the ressources of my machine thus rendering bith MPE and my machine quite slow :-)

The OS is XP SP 2 and the machine is ...

...If you do get around to fix it, it would be very nice if the timestamp in MPE was presented in italics if the timestamp was generated at the time it was movedto the Archive.

This would make it *much* easier spottingthe SMS's that needed to be edited and have a real timestamp issued.

Part of the problem is solved now.
I entered the config and manually corrected all the wrong dates, eg. 2006-12-09 into 2006-09-12.

This was the reason why Today/Yesterday did not sort correctly as the computer of course knew that Today/Yesterday came before the 9th of December and showed them ...

If I send it through MPE the generated timestamp *is* valid.
Otherwise it is not.

All I'm saying is that a simple 0/1 marker in the file would be an extreme improvement.

Would it take much time to implement?

Well, in fact, I thought a little more about it.

I think that the reason why you discard the idea of data integrety so fast is because I have mentioned that I am doing stuff with the data that you feel is unnecessary or something only one in a million would do :-)
