Ich verwende diese Felder (Beziehung und Datumsfelder) auch, deshalb würde ich mich freuen, wenn die Synchronisation davon auch eingebaut wird.

When I start the native thunderbird version under linux I can see following error in the error log of thunderbird: Do you experience that as well?

I tried quite a few things a while ago.
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with thunderbird extensions, so I wasn't able to find a solution...
It seems we have to wait for TreeNode or someone like him to solve it...

In my case I installed MPE using a wineprefix (.wine_MPE) therefore I had to modify your functions.
Also I noticed that, when reading out the "PathToExe" value from the registry, it was returned with leading spaces, which made it necessary to add the trim()-function ...

Does anybody know how to find out what could be the problem?

Unfortunately, the sync stopped working for me.it always says that the folders cannot be listed and in the logfile appears the following:

Error in StartFritzboxSearch: 429 ActiveX component can't create object

Does anybody experience the same and probably know a workaround?

btw: I'm on Manjaro ...

Damit meinte ich was anderes: Beim Synchronisieren gibt es eine Einstellung um alte Aufgaben im Telefon zu löschen. Die wirkt aber nur bei erledigten ...

Eigentlich ist es die Datei von Rainlendar mit der ich synchronisiere, aber da ich mittlerweile mit Linux arbeite, synchronisiere den Kalender meines Telefons und Rainlendar über die iCalendar-Datei.

Mir ist vor kurzem aufgefallen, dass MPE beim Synchronisieren von .ics Kalenderdateien stornierte Aufgaben (STATUS:CANCELLED) im Handy belässt.
Dadurch sieht es so aus, als ob die Aufgabe immer noch unerledigt ist, obwohl sie ja nicht mehr von Bedeutung ist. Aus meiner Sicht ...

I have a 64bits Linux and I think I am running a 64bits Thunderbird.

Do you all run it in the standard wine prefix? (I use a custom one. Like ".wineMPE")

I just tried it with an 64-bit prefix, because in the 32bit using "wineconsole cmd" there was an error message, when i tried to run the "thunderbird.bat" saying that it is not allowed to run a 64bit application from within an 32bit environment. Which makes sense..
And now with the 64bit I am able ...

I tried to set up the Thunderbird sync without installing the windows version of Thunderbird. But if i try to set the sync up in the settings i get the error message that the folder strucure cannot be listed.
And in the console I get the following error:
C:\Program Files ...

Da ist wohl noch ein Bug bei der Funktion Sync mit einer iCal-Datei !
Ich leite diesen an FJ weiter.

Das kann ich wiederum nicht reproduzieren, ist ...

Ich habs gerade nochmals getestet:

Ich nehme einen Kontakt:

* bearbeiten
* das Häckchen beim "Geburtstag" setzen
* Geburtstag 24.05.1997
* Häckchen bei "Geburtstag im Kalender speichern"
* Erinnerung am gleichen Tag 9:00


Und in der iCal-Datei wird dann folgendes eingetragen:
TRIGGER ...

Mir ist immer wieder mal aufgefallen, dass beim synchronisieren mit Rainlendar die Erinnerungen von Geburtstagen ihren Zeitpunkt ändern.
In meinem Fall sind Geburtstage als ganztägige Termine mit einer Erinnerung am selben Tag eingetragen.

Ich hab mir das mal genauer angesehen ...

Gab nicht mal Pläne MPE nach VB.NET zu portieren?
Damit würde es wahrscheinlich unter Linux mittels Mono laufen..

@Pastim: That may be the case. However I don't want to install a program twice. Moreover you should not have Thunderbird in linux opened, when syncing and thats the main Problem. Thunderbird ist running nearly all the time on my PC and therefore I would like to have a clean solution..
