When I remove the gadget, to add it again, it is not available in the list of selectable gadgets anymore.

To my surprise after installation of the latest version of MPE, I found that the Vista Gadget had appeared in the list of selectable Gadgets.

Directly after the installation it works fine, but when my PC is restarted, it fails to load. I've had this on two machines (both x64). One of the error ...

When I want to display a location by xxx on the map icon in an 'edit contact' window, MPE 7 freezes and after a long timeout returns the message:

Server-based connection problem
Or
Address not found

This happens with addresses in the Netherlands, Denmark and Switzerland, so I guess its not and ...

I've stumbled upon a bit erratic behavior:

When MPE (1.6.3) tried to resolve my dutch address, after entering my street name and postcode, the city was filled in in the country field.

Just before this happened I wondered how resolving addresses worked, so after I had typed the street name and city ...

So my next phone might again be a SE. Especially now that I have this great tool to actually use it to the fullest

I also think that adding playlist capabilities typically is an example a of a useful firmware upgrade.

Okay, I checked out Disc2Phone.

Disc2Phone is able to find the songs from an iTunes playlist, but then does not transfer the playlist, just the songs. No playlist is created on the phone.

I think this will be the main reason why I would switch phones. A mp3 Walkman is a usable mp3 ...

The thing is, you have to export a playlist as XML file from iTunes, and then copy that XML file to your phone using Disc2Phone.

Although I still have to check it out (installation of Disc2Phone requires a restart), there are a few drawbacks on this method ...

Do you think there are alternative method of creating playlists? My w810 i does not support M3U files as well, but internally the playlist have to be stored somewhere, right? (It does have playlists, but you have to edit them on the phone)

Hmmm, I'm not very keen on installing additional program to perform these kinds of task, I'lll first tryu to live with the situation as-is.

I think any sync triggers thunderbird, both the automatic one (upon reconnection of the bluetooth connection), as the manually initiated sync from MPE. Of course when I initiate the sync from thunderbird, thunderbird already has the focus ...

But I guess the sync is initiated from MPE, I don't know whether that should make a diffference.

With the new feature of more automated syncing an annoyance has turned up(for me anyway)

When syncing my contacts with Thunderbird, Thunderbird receives focus, while I think the entire process should be on the background (except when my attention is needed for a specific sync)

This is great! I've been waiting for this some time and it works great! No matter how sweet Rainlender looks... now its just one program I don't need anymore.
I like the updates in look and feel and the image sync as well.... and the auto-sync on reconnect.

That's what I feared, that you already had given it a try. I did not mean to annoy you, I'm just a bit enthusiastic about iCal, and a bit puzzled why not more programs support a generic format like it. But that is the old 'standards' issue.

I think the main challenge lies in the publishing to remote calendars.

Maybe I'm a bit naive, but doesn't every iCal app have to comply to certain base naming conventions and structures?

I'd guess every app uses some add-ons fields to store some extra-app-specific information, but one could ignore that.

Multiple applicatiosn, for instance, work with a remote calender ...

I know I'm speaking in my own interest here (even as a follow-up to previous questions), but I guess it would be great if you added another option: not only sync with Outlook or Rainlendar, but sync it with any iCal format calendar, making it generic and using more of an open protocl, making MPE ...
