The solution by noesis and icke1954 works fine in TBird 60.9.
This issue is a pretty big deal because as of this writing the MyPhoneExplorer plugin has disappeared from the Thunderbird repository and the sync is 100% broken.
I'm glad there is a solution, but it would have been even better if it ...
