That resolves my issue. I am not sure how the setting got turned off.

After yesterdays update to v1.0.58, MPE no longer initialises.

I get an error message as follows:

The background activity for MPE client is restricted. With this setting MPE will not work. Would you like to open the dialog for chaning this setting?

When I select OK , it takes me to the App ...

Same for me but appears to work fine, just not displaying SSID correctly for some reason.

Got a new update of the client on my S(, version 1.0.56 dated 30th March.

This seems to have fixed the issue for me, so I think it was just a glitch in 1.0.55.

I don't think so. It worked fine until the latest client update.
Also using a fixed IP is not a satisfactory workaround. I still need to synchronize while travelling.

I am having this problem on my Samsung Galaxy S9. Android 9 with respect to the client stopping and Wifi SSID.

Same symptoms as the poster. Says <unknown SSID) for Wifi and MPE client has just stopped frequently.

Running 1.8.11 on Windows 10 Pro on the other side. Office 365 Outlook.
