I have checked the apk - no SMS can be backed up not for Google Messages nor for Textra. maybe its because these apps don't write messages back into the default location

Yes, i have done this before. There are profile folders for each phone somewhere on local disk (i forgot location). On old (stolen) profile copy all messages to pc archive. After archiving, simply copy sms database file from one profile to another. Then restore sms from archive to phone with "in ...
