I've tried gCalDaemon, Calgoo, Remote Calendars, syncmycal and none of them work properly. The only one I haven't tried is OggSync. Looks like that's where I am having to try next.
Is it worth thinking about allowing users to have multiple synch options?
I work in a secure environment and am limited as to what I can access from the three offices I have. However, I can access Google Calendar from all three and keep an up to date on -ine diary.
I will take a look but it is trying to get the phone to stay "live" and get a patch put through to it that's the problem. However, thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.
Yesterday my W810 died. Firest it just hung during a routine email pick up and I had to remove the battery to re-boot the phone. Since then it will either reboot partially or reboot and then seize up on any function, ie speed dialling.
The battery is fully charged and I haven't got any third ...
If anyone else is having problems with synching G calendar I have found one, possibly two options with replacement online calenders.
The first is AirSet (www.airset.com) which has an Outlook synch plug in that works right out of the box. The sequence is that you add stuff to your online calendar ...

I'll delete the Google calendar and start a new one later today. If that doesn't work I will start hacking off bits of the URL that GCAL provides to see if that makes a difference.
