Nearly a year down the line now. I was hoping that updates might have solved the problem, but nothing so far.
I tried to use MPE to make a backup so that I can reset my phone and start all over again. But now I find I can no longer make a backup with MPE because of an 'Obex' problem...

Tnx again. To my regret CM 12 is the official version now being rolled out to everyone, and standard installed on any new OnePlus phone. There is even a 12.1 version out by now. Unfortunately, I have no other possibility than to run CM, as that is the standard for the OnePlus One. It will not run on Android (At least I have no Idea how I could do that, nor have I ever rooted a phone.)

So in other words: untill CM adresses their bug so that MPE can read the contacts again, MPE cannot be used anymore for any person using CM12?

I am afraid that in reality this will never happen.Why would CM start working for MPE? They will not give a toss.

It is great to hear that there is life in MPE still. But I do seem to suffer from a bug. However, When I do make a contact in the desktop version of MPE an dthen sync, it says that threre are NO contacts in the phone and asks if it can put the contacts from the comuter into the phone. And it does that flawlessly: indeed, after synchroising I find the newly ccreated contact neatkly ...

I got this far as to find out that 'My Local Account' is an app provided by FJ Software. Installed it, but to no avail. I can still not read any of the contacts in my phone via MPE.
